Wine makers who take care of their vines and soils, are always proud to work on those vineyards which represent the legacy of from their past. La Tour Travers has been created in order to pay tribute to the tower which overhang the Travers family’s vineyards. By selecting our producer and partnership very carefully, we have the pleasure to present  you this entry level wine which will perfectly accompany your daily meals.

Appellation : Bordeaux White

Grape varieties: 70% Sauvignon, 15% Semillon, 15% Muscadelle
Soil: clay-limestone and clay-siliceous
Average age of vines: 30 years and planted 5000 vines / ha
Vinification: Selection of the harvest, cold maceration, 7 ° C for 8 days, cold settling at 4 ° C for 8 days, fermentation at 15/16 ° C.

Tasting notes: Beautiful green pale color. A young and lively wine, crisp and racy, with lovely grapefruit and honeyed melons. Clean and fresh on the finish. Excellent with seafood platter or simply by the glass.

Appellation : Bordeaux Rosé

Varieties: 50% Merlot, 50% Cabernet-Sauvignon
Soil clay-gravel
Average age of vines: 25 years and planted 4500 vines / ha and astes folded flat
Vinification: Selection of grapes, maceration, pressing, cold settling at 4 ° C for 8 days, fermentation 15/16°

Ageing: on the lees for 15 days

Tasting notes: This a dry, lively and vibrant rosé with crisp cranberry and strawberry sorbet flavours. Excellent with a salad or sardines in the sunshine.

Cépages 70% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon
Soil : clay-gravel
Average age of vines: 25 years and planted 4500 vines / ha
Vinification: Selection of vintage, pre-fermentation maceration, cold fermentation at 25/26 ° C, post-fermentation maceration October-December day. Malolactic fermentation on the lees.

Tasting notes: Beautiful dark red color. Lovely and fruity, offering loads of spicy strawberry, black cherry and liquorice flavors. Excellent with veal, chicken or simply by the glass.

Appellation : Bordeaux Semi Sweet White

Average age of vines: 30 years and planted at 5000 vines / haVinification: With a bright golden color, this wine offers rich and complex aromas of mature fruits, citrus fruit and white flowers, on a side of exotics flavors notes. Delicious!

Tasting notes: Bright light golden color. Pretty aromas of honey and apple blossum. Tropical notes of peach and guava on the palate with a touch of spice. Clean and fresh on the finish. Excellent with a warm fruit desert, cheese platter or simply by the glass.
